Experimental and analytical investigation on dowel-pinned connections with varying pin diameters for granite cladding

چکیده
Granite cladding with dowel-pinned connections has been widely used in building envelope systems; however, their loading behavior is not fully understood, particularly the correlations between diameters of dowel holes and steel pins, breaking loads. To solve this issue, a series tests on varying pin were carried out. The failure sequence granite was determined based respective load-bearing capacities, which finally represented load. Failure connection 6-mm showed simultaneous pin, that is, yielding rupture appeared at same time. However, other failed different sequences. skeleton curves for various developed to represent conceptual behavior. experimental load observed generally rise an increasing diameter pin. findings assess computational approaches available distribution redistribution profiles also assessed basis test findings. Finally, finite element models study modes. numerical results found agree each other. will help improve structural safety stone claddings.
